'Tis the season to give & celebrate!

As a values centered daycare, we take every opportunity to teach our students the gift of giving to others! This past week, students from our toddler classrooms to our preschoolers, came in to school with very special gifts they picked out with their parents, to be donated to children being treated at CHOP (Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania). Every student and family who participated was fulfilled with the thought that children the same age as our students would feel a little bit more warmth, cheer & excitement this Christmas when they open their gifts.

Together with the help of our parents who donated baked goods for our Bake Sale, we also raised $355 toward Friends at the Pink Foundation. This Foundation raises money for people fighting Breast Cancer, to help assist them with unexpected medical costs, co-pays, and transportation cost while undergoing treatment. We also raised a total of $1,455 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with the help of our parents and teachers! We are proud to have such a supportive and giving community at Li'l Tykes.

No one was left out from holiday cheer this year, including our babies in the Infant Room! Our yearly tradition of door decorating competition continued, and every year our teachers and students get more and more creative! Check out our decorated doors...what is your favorite?!

To top off the week before the holiday weekend, students dressed in pajamas for our school-wide pajama & polar express day! Students came to class in their favorite night time pj's, to properly watch the polar express, one of our favorite holiday movies!

We are so grateful to all of our children and families who helped us get in the holiday spirit this year! Happy holidays & new year from Li'l Tykes Childcare & Learning Center!
